Title: Law and Order
House: Ravenclaw
Words: 100
Characters, pairings: A Muggle lawyer, judge, and man, and Dumbledore
Samuel E. Goldenstein, of Goldenstein and Lymond, shook his head. His client was scribbling across his legal pad, stopping every few seconds as if to dip his ballpoint pen in ink.
"Control your client, Mr. Goldenstein," the judge said.
The man drew some strange creatures that looked like horses with wings and heads of eagles.
"Mr. Goldenstein, how does your client plead?"
Samuel looked at his client, who was mumbling about men in black who cast spells on him, and sighed. "Not guilty by reason of insanity, Judge."
Albus Dumbledore picked up
The New York Times and shook his head.
A/N: Written for the "Law" challenge at
hp100. People commented that this one was "eerie" and gave them "the chills," which was surprising because that's not what I meant to do. More than anything, I thought the premise was sad - because when we look at this situation from the wizarding world, it
is sad that they can't let Muggles know what's going on. But of course, in real life, if someone told me he was seeing hippogriffs, I might think he was insane too.
