First posted at: hpdrabble
Length: 425 words

Warning: None. Some sadness, maybe.
Pairing: Mention of Ron/Hermione, a tiny bit

Fic: (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prints, Harry Potter, PG, parody)

Title: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prints
Date: February 3, 2005
Rating: PG
Warnings: None, except for bad grammar-based humour
Notes: When the title of HBP was first released, and did not contain the dash in Half-Blood, a bunch of us joked about how you could have half a blood prince, etc., and it was pretty funny, or at least I thought it was. Antosha started it.

Why, yes, I am archiving my old fics, thank you for asking.

Fic: Harry Potter and the Stone He Put In His Pocket to Drown Himself (Harry Potter, PG-13, parody)

Title: Harry Potter and the Stone He Put In His Pocket to Drown Himself
Date: March 21, 2005
Rating: PG-13
Warning: None, except for parody and distortion of the first chapter of the first book.
Notes: I wrote this several years ago, after The Leaky Cauldron linked to a story about a Harry Potter fan and teen prodigy who killed himself, and someone commented that it was not appropriate for TLC to share that link because "Harry Potter is the boy who lived, not the boy who committed suicide." My friend Claire made a joke about writing that story, and bam, it was born.

Fic: Our Time in Eden (SVU, Dani Beck, PG)

Words: 968

Fic: So She Can Sing (SVU, Olivia/Alex, Olivia/Casey, PG-13)

Title: So She Can Sing
Words: 1250
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Olivia/Alex, Olivia/Casey
Notes: Just a one-shot post-ep for 7x03, "911." Spoilers, etc. Olivia got sort of rambly and introspective. Title comes very vaguely from Philip Levine's poem "What Work Is."

Fic: In Time (Harry Potter, gen, PG)

Title: Walk of Faith (the In Time remix)
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen, if you can believe that. Neville's family.
Summary: Great Uncle Algie can’t wait for his grand-nephew to show promise as a wizard. Unfortunately, that may just take time.
Notes: Written as a remix of [info]vissy's story Walk of Faith in the Remix Redux III challenge. That was about three months ago, and I just forgot to archive it here. Whoops.

Fic: Someone Tell This Photograph (New York Journal, PG)

Title: Someone Tell This Photograph
Fandom: New York Journal
Pairing: The usual, Will/Noel, Aileen/Justin
Rating: PG
Notes: Written for [info]thieving_gypsy in that "write a drabble/fic with the first line of someone else's fic" meme. 'Cause I can never resist a good fic-y meme.

Title from Ani. I would have used the "you'll look like a photograph of yourself taken from far, far away" line, but I already titled a fic with that. Oops.

Fic: On Sleepless Nights (Thoroughbred, Brad/Ashleigh, PG-13)

Title: On Sleepless Nights
Fandom: Thoroughbred, by Joanna Campbell
Pairing: Brad/Ashleigh ... well, sort of
Rating: PG
Notes: Written for [info]onesyrinx, who requested "a Brad/Ashleigh fic" in the fandom drabble challenge. She is eeeevil, I say. Eeeeeevil.

Characters are Joanna Campbell's. Emily and Mrs. Townsend are mine, because I am intensely curious about what happened to "Townsend's daughter" who used to trail-ride Dominator before she got married, and Brad's other parent, who sent Caro the flowers after the car accident.

I've kept Brad and Lavinia's son as Ross, because until book #24 came out, his name was Ross - then he magically turned into Parker, and I've always resented that. Laura Townsend only appears in ACM, which I prefer to most of the new-generation canon, but in that way the story is AU.

Fic: Clueless (The L Word, Bette/Alice, PG-13)

Title: Clueless
Fandom: The L Word
Pairing: Bette/Alice
Rating: PG-13
Notes: Written for [info]paranoidkitten, who requested "Bette/Alice, their canon pre-Tina relationship" in the fandom drabble challenge. ~ 400 words. I am not a huge fan of the title. Also, if anyone can give me good estimates on Bette and Alice's ages, I'd be grateful. I think Bette is about 38, but I've always assumed Alice is in her late twenties, and when I did the math I realized it didn't add up.

Fic: All That Glitters (New York Journal, Will, Aileen, PG-13)

Title: All That Glitters
Fandom: New York Journal
Pairing: Will/Noel, Justin/Aileen
Rating: PG-13
Notes: Written for [info]thieving_gypsy, who requested "something Foster-ish" in the fandom drabble challenge. ~ 950 words. Because I really kind of feel for Will.

Fic: Argent (Harry Potter, Hermione/Luna, PG)

Title: Argent
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Hermione/Luna
Rating: PG
Notes: I really tried to get it more slashy, but it just didn't work so well. I don't write Luna often at all, so I think that's why I had trouble - though perhaps it's just because Hermione is such a foil to Luna. Anyway, this was written for [info]iulia_linnea, as per here.

Fic: On the Day I Said 'I Do' (Harry Potter, James/Lily, PG-13)

Title: On the Day I Said 'I Do'
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: James/Lily
Rating: PG-13. If that.
Warning: Character death, but it's all canon.
Notes: I'm at a loss to explain this one. It's not girlslash, it's not boyslash, and it's not NC-17. I don't even know where I would post such a story.
I'm not sure how I feel about the ending. I had more trouble with the last four paragraphs than the rest of the story put together, and actually, I thought about not keeping those in at all. So concrit on that part is very welcome.

Fic: The Good Things (The L Word, Dana/Alice, R-ish)

Title: The Good Things
Pairing: Dana/Alice, mentions of Alice/Gabby, Lisa/Alice, Andrew/Alice, Dana/Lara, Dana/Tonya
Rating: Light R-ish
Setting: Post-"Limb From Limb"
Words: 1989
Notes: I'm perpetually dissatisfied with my titles. Originally this one was called In A Year, because it was supposed to be about all the people they'd had sex with all season, but then I couldn't figure out what month the show actually started in (the weather all looks the same in LA), so that sort of ruined the "year" motif. The title I ended up with seemed better, but suggestions are welcome.

Drabble: In the Genes (Harry Potter, gen, PG)

Title: In the Genes
Originally posted at: [info]hp100 and [info]hp100uncut
Characters: Hermione's parents and that younger sister who never made it into the books
Rating: PG
Notes: This drabble grew out of my cranky feelings about the newest update to JKR's website, in which she states that magic is a dominant and resilient gene. Scientifically, there is no way a child can express a dominant gene if neither of her biological parents do. Which brings me to the question of Hermione ...

She's apologized dozens of times over the years. She's said she's sorry with flowers, tears, and sex. She knows it was a mistake, one that she never plans to repeat. What more does he want?

Jane still remembers the look on his face when he found that website, stating that magical ability is a dominant and resilient gene. Michael was never great shakes at science, and she watched him for a full minute, hoping it wouldn't compute. But it did. His eyes—blue, unlike their firstborn daughter's—fell like shooting stars, and he began to cry.

As far as she knows, he's never told Hermione. Jane doubts that will fool her for long, since their daughter reads anything and everything, wizarding or otherwise, that she can get her hands on. But for now, it seems to be working.

After Hermione went to Hogwarts—after the undeniable knowledge of her ability came out—they had another child, a daughter. Olivia is four years old now. Jane knows that this baby will never show any signs of magic, and every day she hugs her younger daughter and prays that she is enough to make Michael forgive her.

Drabbles: The Beginning, The End (The L Word, Tina/Bette, Tina/Eric, G)

Title: The Beginning
Author: celeria
Pairing: Tina/Eric, Tina/Bette
Rating: G
Originally posted at: [info]l_word100
Spoilers: 1x12, "Looking Back"

She didn't expect this to happen. Not like this, anyway. Sure, there was the one odd time in college that she thought about it, but no, it didn't happen. And it sure didn't happen like this.

The look on Eric's face when she broke up with him rips through her. He asked for a reason, and she couldn't give him one. It's not that she feels bad about leaving him, as she suspects he wouldn't feel terribly bad about leaving her either. But she knows why. He doesn't.

The earring burns warm between her fingers. Tina picks up the phone.

Title: The End
Author: celeria
Pairing: Tina/Bette
Rating: G

Spoilers: 1x14, "Limb From Limb"

She didn't expect this to happen. Not like this, anyway. She knows that Bette is far more stunning and vivacious than she is. But she foolishly believed that something about her would be enough to keep Bette with her.

She tries to imagine life without Bette. No coffee kisses in the morning, no rolling into her curls and legs in bed, no long fingers and a band of cool metal stroking her hair when she can't sleep. Her throat lurches at the thought of leaving all that.

But the alternative hurts too much, and so she picks up her suitcase.

Drabble: Law and Order (Harry Potter, gen, G)

Title: Law and Order
House: Ravenclaw
Words: 100
Characters, pairings: A Muggle lawyer, judge, and man, and Dumbledore

Samuel E. Goldenstein, of Goldenstein and Lymond, shook his head. His client was scribbling across his legal pad, stopping every few seconds as if to dip his ballpoint pen in ink.

"Control your client, Mr. Goldenstein," the judge said.

The man drew some strange creatures that looked like horses with wings and heads of eagles.

"Mr. Goldenstein, how does your client plead?"

Samuel looked at his client, who was mumbling about men in black who cast spells on him, and sighed. "Not guilty by reason of insanity, Judge."

Albus Dumbledore picked up The New York Times and shook his head.

A/N: Written for the "Law" challenge at [info]hp100. People commented that this one was "eerie" and gave them "the chills," which was surprising because that's not what I meant to do. More than anything, I thought the premise was sad - because when we look at this situation from the wizarding world, it is sad that they can't let Muggles know what's going on. But of course, in real life, if someone told me he was seeing hippogriffs, I might think he was insane too.

Fic: After It All (New York Journal, Will, Tess, Aileen, PG)

Title: After It All
Fandom: [info]ny_journal
Pairing: Will/Brian, Tess/Jacob, Aileen
Rating: PG or PG-13, maybe
Notes: This makes me feel very fangirl, but this was written for [info]thieving_gypsy for that recent song-drabble-meme. I've been fascinated by the NYJ RPG for forever, and especially by the Fosters. I'm sure all the other characters have the same kind of multilayered backstory, but I really like Will and Aileen.
