My friend Claire made a joke about writing that story, and bam, it was born.

Notes: Since I do not watch The O.C. (except for about 0.66 episodes that I unfortunately got roped into when my girlfriend bought the first season), there is quite possibly a lot of out-of-canon here. Someone should tell me what parts are wrong.

Written as belated birthday-gift-fic for paranoidkitten, whom I love, and whose recent obsession with The O.C. has produced a stunning amount of fic. Hopefully the boysex and the fact that I'm writing so totally out of my preferred fandoms will be enough to make up for the out-of-canon-nes and the lateness.

Set thirteen years after the Baby-Sitters Club series. Jenny Prezzioso is 17 and Claire Pike is 18, but they're in the same class for reasons that are explained in the fic. Inspired by the following line from BSC #4: Mary Anne Saves the Day: "And Jenny tries hard, but she just isn't what her mother wants her to be." This, of course, was before Ann M. wrote Jenny as the stereotypical brat.
